Your music, your space
Privacy, in plain language.
MIDI Me does not collect or upload your personal data. No accounts, advertising, app analytics, or tracking.
Last updated October 12, 2026
What stays on your device
Your imported MIDI files and soundbanks, library, playlists, playback settings, and preferences are stored locally by the app. Playback and audio rendering happen on your device.
MIDI Me does not operate a cloud library or send your library to a developer-operated server. Device backups and file locations you select may be managed by your operating system or a storage provider.
What the app does not collect
MIDI Me has no advertising or analytics SDKs and does not collect usage history, device identifiers, location, contacts, or the contents of your music library. There is no MIDI Me account to create.
When you choose to send something
- Exporting or sharing: you can save or share selected MIDI files and rendered audio. The destination or app you choose handles those files under its own terms.
- External MIDI output: if you select a CoreMIDI destination, MIDI Me sends playback events to that destination. It may be another app, connected equipment, or a network MIDI session you have configured.
- Support: if you open a GitHub issue, the information you submit is handled by GitHub and is publicly visible.
These actions are initiated by you. MIDI Me does not automatically upload your music.
Apple diagnostics
Apple may collect or share operating-system and app diagnostics according to your Apple privacy and analytics settings. These system services are controlled by Apple and your device settings; MIDI Me does not include a separate analytics or crash-reporting service.
This support website

Please do not post private music files, personal information, or sensitive diagnostics in a public issue.
Your choices and questions
You can manage your local library in the app and choose whether to export files, share them, or connect an external MIDI destination. There is no developer-held account or library to request deletion from.
